“A mis Muertos” (To my death ones) is a collage/illustration series I dedicated and honor for the most influential leaders, singers and cultural icons that impacted me as an adult, and I make it onto a novena candle prayer (shop).

These art pieces explores the complex relationship between celebrity culture and spirituality. By depicting famous individuals on prayer candles, I am highlighting the way in which society elevates and idolizes celebrities, often placing them on a pedestal reserved for religious figures. Through this art piece, I hope to encourage viewers to reflect on the impact that celebrity worship has on our culture and our values.

Let’s pray and enjoy my series!
